Interior Trails spent two months collaborating with an international team for The Butler Conservation Fund creating a new trail system in this spectacular remote park in Argentine Patagonia. IT provided trail design, training, consulting, and construction services, working closely with other US trail professionals and emerging Argentine trailbuilders, as part of a three year effort culminating in approximately 100 KM of new trails.

Interior Trails partnered with IMBA-Canada to provide Parks Canada with a training focused on trail structures for rainforest environments and wet ground.
Copper Lake Trail Nabesna Road/Wrangell-St. Elias Nat'l Park Training, Consulting & Construction, 2014 The NPS crew at Wrangell-St. Elias brought in Interior Trails to provide technical training for a new crew working on a remote, heavily-degraded subsistence trail. IT taught a chainsaw class, intro to sustainable trails, and intro to mechanized equipment operation over the course of a week in the field. IT returned to provide on-site construction oversight, including training in the use of Sutter 500, mini-excavators, and skid steers to build bench cut, install DuraDeck/geo-web, and build drainage features.
Forsythe Park Bridge Municipality of Anchorage Training & Construction, 2013 IT provided mentorship and training for an SCA/YEP alumni crew in carpentry & construction skills during the construction of a 10' wide 20' long bridge in Anchorage's lower Hillside. Construction included decommissioning the old structure, building a faux overhead truss and following Muni blueprints and passing building & concrete anchor inspections.
Black Bear Boardwalk Far North Bicentennial Park: Training & Construction, 2014 IT provided mentorship and training for an SCA/YEP alumni crew (10 teenagers, 2 crew leaders) in carpentry & construction skills during the construction of a 4' wide 70' long boardwalk on the popular Black Bear Trail in Anchorage's Far North Bicentennial Park.
